Being a part of the Core team at the Mumbai (a metro in India) KM community, I feel its very critical to keep the momentum going. Apart from the monthly unconferences, we have to keep the renowed KM practitioners interested in the community and gain their trust.

Bottomline - ensure that the community doesnt become a victim of the ‘Business life cycle’.

I have recently started creating DVDs of interesting KM keynotes, conferences, presentation (gathered after years of downloading and uploading, online networking and sharing) etc. based on a theme for e.g. ‘Content Management’, ‘Taxonomy’ and plan to distribute them to the Knowledge Managers.

Why not start breaking them down into shorter video clips (with the presenter permissions of course) and making them available through Youtube of blip.tv? You can create channels around each theme.
